Shelley Pinkerman is the Leader of the Symmes Soldiers Youth Group for grades 7-12. She has been at Symmes practically her whole life. Shelley made sure of her salvation when she was 25 years old in November of 2000, after years of doubting her salvation when she was 9 - best decision ever! She and her husband Andy were baptized together after that, and earlier that year, had just gotten married - 2000 was a great year!

Shelley was the Youth Leader for many years, and has also worked in the AWANA program. In 2021 Shelley was asked by the Church to lead this group again, and is loving every minute. They meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 and have a blast!

AWANA is our Childrens Program that reaches kids and their families with the gospel. This proven curriculum is designed to develop Christian leaders and disciple kids to walk with Christ for the rest of their lives. 

We offer Clubs for ages 2-6th grade and have a loving and dedicated staff who love the Lord and your children!

Jenny Johnson serves as the AWANA Commander and has led this role for the last 3 years. Jenny has been actively involved in AWANA at Symmes Creek since its inception 26 years ago. Her desire is to share Jesus with our children at Church, and in our community.
